Day 5 - Active Obedience

The busy of each and every day can be taxing. We can let the to-do’s and the honey-do lists consume us. Every time you check one of them off, two more get added. We are constantly fighting time - “You may delay, but time will not.” Our days will keep adding up no matter what. So how do we follow God’s command of Biblical rest? He calls us to obedience in Hebrews 4:11 - “Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience” (Hebrews 4:11 ESV). Entering into God’s rest requires us to be diligent. Be obedient to the Lord when He calls you into His peace and comfort. Listen and pause from the busy of the day and sit in His presence. 

Take a moment right now and sit in His presence and rest. Breathe in His peace and exhale the day-to-day burdens.
