At Helena Valley Faith Center we are using missions to fulfill our purpose to Know and Love God, to Love and Serve People.
We are sending teams into the field on short term trips and supporting missionaries in parts of the world where the gospel has never been.
More importantly, we are now a sending church. We are sending out our first set of missionaries. Pastors Jeff and Colleen Richards, former Senior Pastors of HVFC, will be leaving for Wales in spring 2024 (click here for more details).
People have a bad connotation of what "mission" means. People treat it like a bad word and say it is not for them. To clarify, it does not mean to move your family to Africa, India, or another far-off country. Mission could mean meeting a friend for lunch or coffee, helping build a house with a local organization, or volunteering at the food bank.
Missions is the calling God has on your life to glorify Him! It is about loving others like Jesus loves you and me! It is about doing what Jesus did! And it is not just for Pastors or "full-time Missionaries," it is for everyone! And it will look different for each of us.
