Day 2 - Remember the Sabbath
God gave us the Fourth Commandment by starting this commandment with “remember.” He is giving us a reminder to rest because He knows that we struggle with time. God knows all time and has all our days mapped out - we do not. We will continue to push our time limits with ourselves because we don’t want to miss out. Pastor Will quoted Benjamin Franklin - “You may delay, but time will not.” Time won't stop for us. There is nothing we can do about time except rest when we are being nudged to do so.
Can you find time this morning or later today to open your Bible and check-out from the hustle and bustle around you? Take a moment to give God one of your burdens.
Maybe you’re struggling with an addiction, or you keep saying yes to people when you know you physically can’t do it anymore, or you’re at your wits end with your kids, or the to-do list just won’t stop growing. God is waiting for you to come to Him and hand your burden over.
