Purity

What does it truly mean to live a pure life? Pastor Will takes us deep into one of the most avoided yet deeply relevant conversations in the life of faith. Drawing from the commandment against adultery, we explore how purity is not simply about avoiding a single physical act, but about the condition of our hearts and the thoughts we allow to take root. Jesus himself expanded this commandment in Matthew 5:27-28, reminding us that impurity begins long before any action takes place. Like a spark near kindling, unchecked thoughts and desires grow quietly until they consume everything we hold dear. We look honestly at how we tend to define these commandments as narrowly as possible to excuse ourselves, and why that approach ultimately fails us. The real invitation here is to examine the soil of our inner life and ask what we are allowing to grow there. Purity, we discover, is not an impossible standard but a daily alignment of our hearts and minds with God's holiness, made possible not by our own strength but by the faithfulness of a God who never stops pursuing us.
