Day 5 - Bless My Path

How often do we make a plan for the day and then suddenly, a huge hurdle comes in and messes it all up? We might get upset and angry and ask God why in the world our plans were completely turned around when we had it all figured out. Was this a plan that you made for yourself or was it a plan that God laid out for you? We as humans tend to make a plan and then ask God to bless it. This can become another way we misuse God's name — asking Him to endorse something that originated with us rather than first submitting our plans to Him.

Reading the Bible, we know that God will provide for us. We do need to let go of our own plans and ask God to direct us in His will though. We shouldn’t forge ahead on the trail expecting God to be following us. We need Him ahead of us, guiding our actions and our plans.
