Day 3 - The Everlasting Covenant
Throughout Scripture, God made covenant after covenant with His people—with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David. Each pointed forward to the ultimate covenant established through Jesus' blood. This covenant is everlasting because it cannot be improved upon or replaced. It's based not on your performance but on Christ's finished work. God says, "I will do this for you because you cannot." Your only response required is faith, obedience, and loyalty. This covenant promises complete forgiveness, a transformed heart, and God's Word living within you. Unlike previous covenants that people broke, this one stands forever because Jesus fulfilled every requirement perfectly.
Reflection:
What does it mean to you that your relationship with God rests on Jesus' faithfulness, not your own?
