Day 4 - When Our Voice is Louder Than God's
Pastor Will shared in his sermon on Sunday about spending hours fixing his truck, thinking he knew what the problem was. When we invest our time and money, it can be hard to let go of our direction and submit to God’s direction. In Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV), we are called to “trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” God wants us to put all of our trust into Him so that we can follow His guidance. He doesn’t want us to forget about Him and go about our life without any direction from Him. God sees the whole picture, we only see what’s right in front of us. God’s direction isn’t limited by our incomplete understanding.
Everyday we make decisions involving finances, relationships, careers, family, and ministry. We can be consumed by what’s right in front of us and think that we know what’s best. Let the Lord who isn’t limited to help guide those decisions - big or small. Are there any areas in your life that you are holding onto your decision because you think you know what’s best? Can you let the Holy Spirit guide that decision and give God the control?
