Day 2 - The Word that Guides Us

How often do we first turn to a good friend when we are stuck or have a problem? Or how often do we just take the problem in our own hands and tell ourselves we know how to fix it? God calls us in 2 Timothy 3:16 that all Scripture comes from God and is given to us for “reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV). God will guide us even in the smallest of problems if we just go to Him first. As we dive into Scripture daily (even expanding from those favorite and comfortable verses), we discover more and more the character of God. As we know His character more, we can lean into Him for those problems and know that any correction that is given is for our good and for our maturity.

Direction from ourselves or from a friend might seem like a good idea and sound good at the time but it might not be the path that God is intending for you. How can you make room for God’s Word to correct, strengthen, encourage, and guide your everyday decisions?
