Life is a Seasonal Rhythm

Sep 6, 2026    Pastor Mary Jo Greenwood

Life is rarely a straight line. It moves in seasons, each one carrying its own purpose, its own weight, and its own invitation to grow. Drawing from Ecclesiastes 3:1-15, we are reminded that there is a time for everything under heaven, and that God's hand is at work in every transition we face. Whether we are in the height of a fruitful season, trudging through a difficult one, or standing at the threshold of something entirely new, the wisdom of Scripture calls us to trust that God's purposes are eternal and unchanging. Nothing He does can be added to or taken away from. That truth alone is a place where we can rest our hearts. This message challenges us to examine where we are in our own seasonal journey, to ask honestly whether we are clinging too tightly to something that has already produced its fruit, and to consider what it might look like to release our grip and allow God to carry us into whatever comes next.
