Day 5 - The Transforming Power of Prayer

Jun 19, 2026

God's response to Solomon reveals a timeless principle: transformation begins with humility and prayer. "If my people...will humble themselves and pray...then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land." While we often apply this nationally, it begins personally. God's primary work is in your heart—you are the apple of His eye. Before He sends you to change the world, He wants to change you through prayer. Prayer isn't complicated; it's simply speaking with God about your life and listening for His response. Start small: read a chapter of Scripture, pause, and ask God what He's saying to you. Bring your petitions. Pray for others He brings to mind. This simple discipline will deepen your relationship with Christ more than any program or event. Today, commit to one specific time and place where you'll meet God in prayer daily. Write it down. Keep that appointment as you would with your closest friend.

"The truth is, if we're not praying for this church, if we're not praying for the leadership and its members, this church will never see revival, will never see the miracles, will never see the signs and wonders—because those begin with and are sustained by the prayers of the church."
