Day 4 - Praying for Boldness, Not Ease

Jun 18, 2026

The early church's prayer in Acts 4 is revolutionary. Facing threats of imprisonment and death, they didn't pray for safety or easier circumstances—they prayed for boldness to continue speaking God's word. Their prayer resulted in a physical shaking, fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, and supernatural boldness. We often pray the opposite: "Lord, remove this difficulty so I can serve you better." But spiritual power comes through pressing forward despite opposition, not around it. When we pray for boldness rather than comfort, we position ourselves for signs, wonders, and healing to flow through our lives. The result? Revival begins in the hearts of believers who refuse to shrink back. Today, identify one area where fear has made you "gun-shy." Instead of praying for the situation to change, pray for boldness to act faithfully within it.
