Day 5 - Buried and Raised

Baptism dramatically portrays death and resurrection. Going under represents the old self buried with Christ; rising up symbolizes new creation life. This isn't just symbolism—it's a declaration that fundamentally reorients your identity. You're no longer who you were. The person controlled by selfish desires is dead; the Spirit-led person has emerged. But here's the challenge: this new identity must be lived out daily. You'll still feel the pull of old patterns, still wrestle with sin's appeal. That's where the war begins. Yet you now have power to say no to sin because you've died to it. Baptism doesn't end your journey; it launches it. Today, remember your baptism (or commit to be baptized). Let it anchor you when temptation pulls. You are not that person anymore.
