Day 3 - Salvation's Simplicity
Jul 15, 2026
Salvation is beautifully simple: by grace through faith, not of works. Baptism adds nothing to this completed work. The water doesn't wash sins; Christ's blood already did. Yet this simplicity shouldn't breed complacency. Notice verse 10—we are created for good works, which God prepared beforehand. Salvation isn't earned by baptism or good deeds, but genuine salvation produces both. The thief on the cross was saved without baptism, proving it's unnecessary for salvation. Yet Jesus commanded it, and every early believer practiced it. Why? Because salvation, while complete in a moment, launches a lifelong journey of obedience. Today, rest in the finished work of Christ, then ask: What obedient step is He calling me toward?
