Day 4 - The Beauty of Repentance

May 7, 2026

David's repentance after his sin with Bathsheba reveals the heart God desires. He didn't make excuses or minimize his actions—he owned his rebellion completely. Notice David appealed to God's mercy, not justice. He recognized his sin was ultimately against God alone. Most beautifully, he longed for restoration: "Create in me a clean heart...restore to me the joy of your salvation." Repentance isn't just saying sorry; it's turning completely back to the Father, desiring renewed intimacy with Him. When you sin, how quickly do you return? Spiritual maturity is measured by the speed of your repentance. Today, practice the FLOW: Focus on the Father, Lose the distraction, Own your sin, and Walk back to Him.

Reflection:

1. How quickly do you typically return to the Father after sinning, and what does that reveal about your spiritual maturity?
