Day 1 - Remember Those Who Finished Well

May 18, 2026

The writer of Hebrews calls us to "remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct." Our spiritual heritage is built on the faithfulness of those who came before us—Abel, Enoch, Abraham, Moses, and countless martyrs who died proclaiming Jesus. Their blood became the seed of the church, as Tertullian said. These heroes didn't just start well; they finished well. In a culture obsessed with viral moments and quick fame, we're reminded that true spiritual legacy is measured not by how you start, but by how you finish. Today, reflect on someone whose faithful life has inspired you. What can you learn from how they endured? Ask God to help you finish your race well, standing firm when persecution or difficulty comes.

Reflection:

1. How does examining the lives of those who 'finished well' in their faith strengthen your own commitment to endure to the end?
