Day 1 - The Weight of Honor

Honor is not the same as blind obedience. The Hebrew word kabed calls us to give proper weight and significance to the positions God has placed over us. Jesus, the Son of God, submitted to imperfect earthly parents and grew in wisdom through that submission. If the Savior of the world could honor an authority structure He did not require for His own development, how much more should we? Consider today what it means to give proper weight to the voices God has placed in your life, not because they are perfect, but because God appointed them.

Reflection: Who in your life has God placed in authority that you have been dismissing rather than honoring?
