Day 02 - Made Alive in Christ
Today's Scripture
“You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you … And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you.”
—Romans 8:9,11 (NIV)
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
—John 10:10 (NKJV)
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
—Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
Reflect on the Word
The resurrection is the most significant event in the life of Jesus and it also has a huge impact on our own lives.
The passage from Romans tells us that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us, bringing new life to our “mortal bodies” (v. 11). This is not just a future hope but a present reality. The resurrection power of the Holy Spirit transforms us from a life bound by sin and death to one filled with purpose and vitality in Christ.
Paul emphasized this truth to help us grasp the profound miracle of resurrection, urging us to understand that the same power that raised Christ is at work within us. Through the Spirit, we are raised to a new life, filled with hope, purpose and the promise of eternal life.
Prayer + Contemplation
1___ Reflect on the incredible truth that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you, giving you new life and purpose in Christ.
2___ Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to live fully and abundantly in Christ, to give you a deeper understanding of this resurrection power in your daily life.
3___ Lift up those in your life who feel spiritually dead or disconnected, praying that they may experience the life-giving presence of the Holy Spirit and be made alive in Christ.
