Day 2 - Egypt in the Heart

Oct 6, 2026

The children of Israel lived in Egypt for 400 years. It was the land they knew, the culture they understood, the soil where their ancestors were buried. Yet it was never their destination. God had promised them something far greater. The danger was not simply living in Egypt -- it was allowing Egypt to take root in their hearts. The same temptation presses against us today. This life, with all its comforts and familiarity, is not our final destination. God is calling us toward a kingdom prepared by His Son. The question is whether we have allowed the temporary to become our treasure.

What aspects of your current life have you allowed to take root so deeply that the idea of God redirecting you feels threatening?
