Day 2 - A God Who Cannot Lie
The promises of God are only as reliable as the character of the one who makes them. If God could deceive, every promise in Scripture would be suspect. But Paul anchors the entire Christian hope on this single, extraordinary truth: God cannot lie. That means the forgiveness offered through Jesus is real. The eternal life promised to those who believe is real. The presence of God in your hardest moments is real. Our confidence is not built on feelings or favorable circumstances. It is built on the unchanging character of a God whose word has never failed and never will.
Practical Application: Read through several promises in Scripture today — such as those found in Psalm 23, Romans 8:28, or John 3:16 — and meditate on what it means that these words come from a God who is incapable of deception.
